Our story

CSLB-Licensed and Based on Holt Boulevard, Ontario

Ontario Concrete Pro is an Ontario business, owned by the man who runs the crew. It opened in 2020 on 14 years of Inland Empire concrete, and covers 20 towns across four counties, houses and warehouses alike.

We pour slab foundations, driveways, parking lots and patios, and the retaining walls that hold the grade, for a city building in two directions at once: an alley-fed grid from the 1900s and new streets going in across Ontario Ranch. What we build is guaranteed in writing.

Our C-8 Concrete license is active with the California Contractors State License Board; liability insurance is carried on every job. Building permits are filed with the Building Department on East B Street, and one of us stands with the inspector at the check. Every estimate is measured and written on site.

Victor Salgado took his first job on a concrete crew in 2006 and spent 14 years on the Inland Empire flatwork before opening Ontario Concrete Pro in 2020. Those years ran from tract driveways out in Chino to warehouse floors near the airport, a spread wide enough that very little on an Ontario lot is unfamiliar to him now.

Since 2020 the work has reached 20 cities and 4 counties, from Chino five miles west to Vincent eighteen miles up the valley, across the 16 services listed here. The job he knows best is the one this city asks for most often: a narrow drive on an older lot, taken out in a day and rebuilt to the fall of the apron it has to meet.

He answers the number at the top of this page himself, and the estimate is written with a tape in his hand rather than emailed after a look at a map. He is on the slab for the pour, and he hands the guarantee over in person once the job is closed. Every estimate is measured and written on site, because no two lots on the same Ontario street sit the same.

The cheaper answer first

A slab that can be cut out in panels is quoted as panels and not as a full tear-out, and the estimate says which of the two you are reading.

The figure does not move

Every estimate is measured and written on site, itemized by demolition, base, thickness and finish. That figure is the one the invoice repeats.

Materials named on paper

Base is Caltrans Class 2, the mix is 3,500 psi and the steel is number 4 bar. All three are on the estimate before a truck is ever booked.

First job north of Holt

A 1920s lot off Euclid, the drive running back to an alley. It settled the rule the crew still works to: nothing is poured on ground nobody opened.

Calls came first from Chino, Montclair and Upland, then over the county lines to Claremont, Norco and Yorba Linda, 25 miles out.

Where we live

The address is 1140 E Holt Blvd, a unit on the boulevard that carried US 60, 70 and 99 through the valley before Interstate 10 took the through traffic off it. Victor Salgado lives in the city and the crew lives between here and Chino. There is no franchise in another state taking a percentage of the job: call the number at the top and it rings wherever the crew happens to be that morning.

Most calls land inside ten miles. Chino, five miles west, is dairy ground turned into subdivisions and mostly wants slabs sitting over replaced fill. Upland, six miles north, is 1920s bungalows on fan gravel with drives narrow enough that access decides the method. Claremont, nine miles up, has street trees old enough that a root has usually lifted whatever is being replaced. Norco, eight miles south, is horse property, which means wide approaches and rock in the base.

The counter is the Building Department at the City of Ontario, and the same inspectors sign the footings on every foundation the crew pours in this city. Ready-mix comes off a plant inside the city limits, which matters in August: a short haul means the load arrives at the slump it left the yard with, and a stiff load is a finish problem nobody can fix later.
